This blog's purpose is to educate and provide insight on Maui real estate. But sometimes other things  are worth writing about as well. I had to put my wonderful Mastiff Hannibal to sleep yesterday.He had been my reliable and dedicated companion since he was twelve weeks old. While his 225 pound size and commanding presence initially caused strangers to step back, his gentle demeanor always made itself clear and everyone who approached and introduced themselves were rewarded with a wagging tale and inquisitive and insistent sniffing. Hannibal's size and beauty made him a bit of a rockstar on the island but to me he was just my simple, loyal, sloppy, kindhearted friend. He loved the beach, an occasional milkbone, being scratched from end to end and pizza crust. I was fortunate to be his steward and I miss him.
