Given the ongoing negativity on the national housing market, it is nice when good news closer to home comes out. Oahu's June real estate numbers are out:

Median sale prices for existing single-family homes and condominiums on O'ahu rose to new records in June, the Honolulu Board of Realtors reported today. The median single-family home price in June was $685,000, up 7.2 percent from $639,000 in June 2006. The previous record was $668,300 set in May 2006.

While the sales pace has still slowed on Oahu, this is good news.
